Clue #1 of 13

This historical site is located in the heart of a bustling city near the Tyrrhenian Sea. Although it is on the same parallel as Chicago, it has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers. Over 1,900 years ago, an artificial lake was drained for the construction of this impressive structure. It’s been said that all roads lead to this city, and it's certainly true that people from all over have come here to watch thrilling shows. Now, its bloody past makes it a must-see on anyone’s trip to Europe.
