Located in northeastern Argentina is a massive but beautiful 269’ waterfall. This waterfall is almost Twice as wide as the famous Niagra Falls. Its name comes from the Guarani words, water and big. The first European to record the existence of the falls was in 1541. The falls may be reached from two main towns, with one on either side of the falls: Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil and Puerto Iguazú in Argentina. experience a humid subtropical climate (according to the Köppen climate classification)The staircase character of the falls consists of a two-step waterfall formed by three layers of basalt. The steps are 35 and 40 meters (115 and 131 ft) in height. The columnar basalt rock sequences are part. Aerolíneas Argentinas has direct flights from Buenos Aires to Iguazu International Airport. Azul, GOL, and LATAM Brasil offer services from main Brazilian cities to Foz do Iguaçu. (visible at zoom level 11)
