You're awake. Well, just.
You've not opened your eyes just yet, the leftovers of your dreams are still floating in your mind, but something feels off, different.
Is it the birds? There's no bird sounds? You can't recall when was the last time you've paid attention to those sort of things, maybe you just need to fully wake up.
You get out of bed and walk barefoot to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, when you see her.
The kitchen door that leads to the back garden is open and small droplets of blood make a wonky line between the door and the kitchen table where she is. "A macabre join-the-dot" you think momentarily.
She's just sitting there, looking tired, exhausted in fact. You notice she's pressing her hand against her side as she looks up at you, with a look in her eyes that at the same time says "I'm sorry for breaking into your house, I truly am, and I am sorry to burden you with this, but I had no choice" as she slides the handbag she was clutching across the table towards you.
"You're in danger...the number is in the bag...bring it to him...he'll know what to do...." she mutters with her last breath.
You look inside the handbag, it was rather small and only contained a few things; a USB stick, a purse which had a large amount of cash, and old Nokia 3310 phone (indestructible indeed you think) and a post it note with the number 33324447770444777755533
